Installation notes for HelixPlayerIn order to build the HelixPlayer from the supplied sources make sure you have at least 850MB of free disk space available for the build process. You can build the player for any gtk+ framework. As prerequisits you propably need to install the latest versions of the libtheora, libvorbis, libogg libraries. Additionally, you might also need to resolve dependencies to dbus, x11, curl, and alsa. The latest list is available from the official RealNetworks Build FAQ. Then you need to add at least the following line to the buildrc file: SetSDKPath("oggvorbissdk", "/usr/local") Then use make, make install to build the player. If you have any problems try using the guidelines. In order to run the HelixPlayer you need gtk+-2.0 or greater and gnome-vfs or grater (optional) The ULLA support is optional. As the HelixPlayer does not support RealVideo most of the public streams cannot be viewed with the player. However, in general any codec plugin can be used with the build-in ULLA support. © RWTH Aachen University. All rights reserved. 2006
